3D Robotics Lands $6M From Mayfield

San Diego-based unmanned aerial robot developer 3D Robotics has raised $6M in funding from Mayfield, as part of the company's $30M Series B funding round, Mayfield said today. 3D Robotics--headed by former editor-in-chief of Wired magazine, Chris Anderson, and co-founded by Jordi Munoz, is developing a platform for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)/drones. The company's software is being used for both do-it-yourself robot building as well as commercial applications. 3D Robotics' big funding round was announced in September. More information »
