3D Robotics Ties With Autodesk On Drone Mapping APIs
3D Robotics and CAD software maker Autodesk are teaming up to help companies better move data from 3D Robotics' drones, to the cloud, the two companies said on Monday. According to the two, 3D Robotics has connected into Autodesks's Forge Platform, a set of APIs, cloud services, and SDKs to help plug into Autodesk's software. The two said they are targeting the use of data from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the areas of the construction, telecom, survey, mapping, energy and infrastructure. 3D Robotics has operations in San Diego.
