Abraxis Invests In Biotech Firm

Los Angeles-based Abraxis BioScience, a biotechnology firm focused on treatments for cancer and other illnesses, is the lead investor in a Maryland-firm developing technology for tissue protein analysis. According to Rockville, Maryland-based Expression Pathology, Abraxis led a $6.5M, funding for the firm. Abraxis Senior Vice President of Integrative Medicine and Translational Science, Lex Van der Ploeg, sits on the board of Expression Pathology. More information »
