Activision, Audiokinetic In Partnership

Santa Monica-based video game firm Activision said today that it is in an agreement with Audiokinetic, to integrate Audiokinetic's WaveWorks Interactive Sound Engine into its gaming titles. Financial terms were not disclosed. Activision said that the deal will allow it to streamline its audio production across multiple platforms. Audiokinetic is a provider of audio middleware for the video game development industry. Activision is a $1.5B publisher of entertainment titles for a wide range of gaming platforms.
