Affinion Group Acquires CardCops

Norwalk, Conn.-based Affinion Group said Friday morning that it has acquired Malibu-based CardCops, a provider of technology for ID theft protection, data monitoring, and analysis. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CardCops provides ID theft services for monitoring the Internet for fradulent activity. Affinion Group is a affinity marketer and also operates security and credit monitoring services.
