Amp'd Mobile Officially Launches Services

Los Angeles-based MVNO Amp'd Mobile has officially launched its much touted 3G mobile service. The firm, which is developing a wireless carrier focused on the trendy youth market, said that it has launched nationwide service. The company said that its nationwide service will allow for the choice of two EVDO handsets from Kyocera Wireless, which run Amp'd mobile's proprietary user interface for access to broadband content like music, games, and entertainment. The company's services start at $29.99 per month and include BREW application capability and text messaging. The company is also heavily emphasizing its entertainment content and music downloads.
