Avanton Receives Angel Round

Manhattan Beach-based computer security software firm Avanton has raised an angel round of funding from Angel Strategies. The firm said that Angel Strategies will also help the company with securing an outside investment round. Avanton is developing corporate security products aimed at small and mid-sized businesses. The company is targeting network security with an appliance based on open source security components for SMBs. Amount of funding was not disclosed. More information »
