Black Diamond Ventures Adds Managing Partner

Los Angeles-based investor Black Diamond Ventures said today that it has named John Kispert as a Managing Partner at the company. Kispert was most recently CEO of Spansion, and also served at KLA-Tencor and IBM, and also sits on the boards of Cypress Semiconductors, Gigamon Inc., Extreme Networks, TriNet and Tela Innovations. Black Diamond's portfolio includes Avinger, Liquidspace, NEI, Obalon, and Tela Innovations, as well as embattled biotech Theranos.
