Boeing Buys San Diego Software Services Firm

Tapestry Solutions, a San Diego-based provider of services and software for tracking equipment and spare parts for the U.S. Department of Defense, has been acquired by The Boeing Company, Boeing said late last week. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Boeing said that the acquisition will accelerate the growth of the company's service and support business. Tapestry Solutions provides tools for logistics planning, used by the U.S. Army, other parts of the U.S. Department of Defense, and government and non-government agencies. Tapestry Solutions has 350 employees, with the majority located in San Diego, and approximately 150 deployed worldwide, including in Iraq.
