Boingo Wireless Wins Internet Service Deals With U.S. Military

Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi access point and wireless infrastructure provider Boingo has won both the U.S. Army and the Marines as customer, to provide IPTV and broadband Internet services at the two military branches' bases worldwide. According to Boingo, it will provide internet protocol TV and broadband Internet at all of the United States Marine Corps bases worldwide, via a deal with Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), starting with bases in the United States and two bases in Japan; separately, the company has signed an agreement with The Army & Air Force Exchange Service to provide IPTV and broadband Internet at more than a dozen Army and Air Force bases in the continental United States. Financial details of the two deals were not announced. Both of the installations are slated to happen in 2014.
