Business.com Raises $10M

Santa Monica-based Business.com has raised $10M in a new round of funding from Benchmark Capital. Business.com provides a search engine for businesses, and was founded in 1999. The company said that it would use the funding to invest in technology infrastructure, product development, and sales and marketing. Business.com is best known as the domain name that eCompanies purchased in 1999 for a record $7.5M. The company last raised funding in 2000 with a $61M round of funding from McGraw Hill, Reed Business Information, and others. More information »
