CalAmp Extends In Latin America

Irvine-based telematics products developer CalAmp said today that it is expanding its efforts in Latin America, after it signed a deal with a company in Argentina to offer up its connected car offerings in Latin America. CalAmp said that Car Security, a LoJack licensee in Argentina, has will offer up its vehicle risk management services for both insurance companies and consumers in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Specifically, the deal covers CalAmp's CrashBoxx service, which provides near real time information on car crash events to insurers.
