CapLinked Ties With MicroVentures

Los Angeles-based CapLinked, the developer of software-as-a-service for entrepreneurs and investors to manage investors communications, which is headed by PayPal vet Eric M. Jackson, said today that it has linked with MicroVentures, a micro-lending and peer-to-peer lending service. According to the two, they are in a partnership where startups that are using MicroVentures' funding service can get access to CapLinked's platform.

MicroVentures offers up an online, peer-to-peer marketplace for entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses to find between $150K to $1M from accredited investors. CapLinked operates a service which allows companies to share deal information and documents, track progress, and keep investors and board members updated on the company.

CapLinked's Jackson is one of the very early PayPal employees, and headed up PayPal's marketing efforts after being hired by Peter Thiel. Jackson documented his experience at PayPal in his book "The PayPal Wars". MicroVentures is headed by Bill Clark, who also happens to be a PayPal veteran; the firms said that Clark was a portfolio manager at the online payment services risk-management division.
