Celerus Diagnostics Gains Patents

Carpinteria-based Celerus Diagnostics, which develops cancer diganostics equipment for pathologists, announced today that it has been issued three patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The firm said the patents cover key technology behind its Rapid IHC system for immunohistochemistry. Celerus did not say what three patents it was issued.

The firm has five patents pending, according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and three patents issued, with the latest two being U.S. Patent No. 8,058,010 (issued November 15th), and U.S. Patent No. 8,034,610 (issued October 11th); the earlier patent was obtained in November of last year. Both of the recently issued patents had been applied for in April of 2006, and name Page A. Erickson, Michael R. Everman, Michael S. Bell, Kevin S. Edberg, and Matthe M. Botke as inventors.
