Central Desktop Adds Web Folder Support

Pasadena-based Central Desktop, the online project management firm headed by Isaac Garcia, has added new web-based file folders to its suite of offerings, the company announced today. The firm said it has added support for WebDAV, a technology used to map online services to desktop file folders, so that its users can access the site's workspaces, files, and folders as if they are local hard drives. The firm said the new capability also includes the support for virtual "check out" and "check in" of versions of files when documents are edited through the folders. The firm said the new web folder support is free of charge to its Enterprise Edition customers, and works with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X operating systems.
