Colorescience Gets $15M

Carslbad-based Colorescience, a developer of premium makeup, suncare, and skincare products, said this week that it has raised $15M in a funding round. The Series B funding was led by Longwood Fund, and also included the company's existing investors. The company said $7.5M of that round came from its existing investors, whic include Hale BioPharma Ventures, Split Rock Partners, Merritt Capital Corporation, HealthCare Ventures, Montreux, Domain Associates, and others. Colorescience said the stock offering came at $1.14 per share, a 20 percent increase from its last round. Rich Aldrich of Longwood Fund joins the company's board with the funding. More information »
