CrowdStrike Targets Ransomware, Breaches With New Release

Irvine-based cybersecurity provider CrowdStrike has rolled out new features for its cloud-based endpoint protection product, Crowdstrike Falcon, saying it has added new enhancements to protect against ransomware, stop breaches faster, and remediate attacks using network containment. The company said it has added new machine learning capabilities to block malware and adware, among many other enhancements. The updates also include a new API for connecting with third party intelligence and SIEM systems. CrowdStrike is led by security veteran George Kurtz.
