CyberFlow Analytics Raises $2M For Cyber Security Efforts

San Diego-based CyberFlow Analytics has raised $2M in a seed round of funding, to go towards its software for protecting corporate IP from corporate espionage and malware. The firm said the seed round of funding came from Toshiba America Electronics Components. CyberFlow, which is headed by Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi--former Chief Technology Officer of AT&T--said the new round brings its total raised to $2.6M.

In addition to Eslambolchi, the company's founders include Tom Caldwell (former CEO/President of LonoCloud, also at Cisco, Microsoft) and Louie Gasparini, former CTO of RSA Security.

According to CyberFlow Analytics, the seed funding round is a part of a larger, $4M seed round that it expects to close by November. The company said it will use the investment to commercialize its security technology.
