DTS In Deal With Digital Post Production Provider

Agoura Hills-based DTS has signed a new deal to get exclusive access to technologies from Avica Technology Corporation, a provider of post-production tools for the digital cinema market. The deal also includes the right for DTS to acquire the assets of Avica. DTS said that it is in an exclusive licensing agreement with Avica, to exploit its suite of technology, products, and services. Avica provides content delivery, encoding and encryption, packaging and distribution, and other services for digital cinema.
