EdgeCast Expands In Taiwan

Santa Monica-based content delivery network provider EdgeCast Networks is expanding its services to Taiwan, with a deal with Chunghwa Telecom Co. Ltd.. According to EdgeCast, it has entered into a partnership with Chunghwa Telecom's Data Communications Business Group (HiNet), to help build a high performance CDN within Taiwan. Financial details of the deal were not announced. EdegeCast said the move will allow HiNet to provide web acceleration and security services to business customers in Taiwan.
