Emergent Partners With Audio Software Firm

Calabasas-based video game software developer Emergent disclosed this morning that the firm is in a partnership with Audiokinetic, a developer of audio authoring tools. Emergent said that it will bundle Audiokinetic's WWise software with its Gamebryo Lightspeed game engine, to allow designers to audit, profile, and modify sounds in their games. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Emergent's tools are used by video game developers to create PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii game titles.
