Eventful Gets Win At LA Times

Event listing startup Eventful, based in San Diego, said Wednesday that it has entered into a strategic venture with the Los Angeles Times. According to the firm, it will provide a selection of its regional events to online users of the times "The Guide" hyperlocal events site. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Los Angeles Times' site provides event listings in the Southern California area, including information on music, book signings, restaurants, and more. Eventful is venture backed by Bay Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Omidyar Network.
