Everbridge Buys Nixle

Glendale-based Everbridge, the provider of unified and emergency communications services, said Tuesday that it has acquired Nixle, a developer of a software platform used by public safety, government agencies, and others to communicate emergency and other information. Financial terms of the asset deal were not disclosed. Everbridge said it also acquired the team of San Francisco-based Nixle, which had around 7,000 customers in the public safety and government area signed up for its service. Everbridge is led by Jaime Ellertson.
