Everbridge Signs Massachusetts Utility

Glendale-based Everbridge, the developer of communications and emergency notification services, said today that Westfield Gas & Electric, a utility located in Westfield, Massachusetts, has selected its platform for a severe weather and power outage alert system. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Everbridge said the utility serves approximately 19,000 electric customers and 9,000 gas customers. Everbridge said the new contract came after Westfield released it did not have an emergency communications system in place during an ice storm in October of 2011.
