FastSoft Upgrades Internet Acceleration Appliance

Pasadena-based FastSoft, which develops network appliances for accelerating Internet transfers, said this week that the firm has upgraded the firm's E Series devices. FastSoft is a spinout of Caltech which is commercializing enhancements to the TCP/IP protocol, which is used to transmit Internet data. According to the firm, the upgraded devices accelerate small web objects, and also include performance reporting and analysis. FastSoft that the firm has also improved security and manageability, and added remote upgrade functionality, among other improvements. The company is venture backed by Miramar Venture Partners.
