FlexEnergy Names CEO

Irvine-based FlexEnergy, a developer of gas turbines and other energy equipment, said Friday that it has named Jay Mitchell as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mitchell was most recently the firm's President and Chief Operating Officer. Mitchell has also served at T-3 Energy, Pride International, and other firms. FlexEnergy is venture backed by SAIL Capital Partners and RNS Capital Partners. FlexEnergy's equipment is used to convert methane waste gas into clean energy.
