FlikMedia Goes Public Via Reverse Merger

Santa Monica-based mobile dating app developer Flikdate has gone public, via a reverse merger into a shell company called CrossBox, according to the firms today. According to FlikMedia, the company has acquired Flikdate through a merger transaction, and has changed its OTCBB trading symbol from CBXX to FLKM. The new company is led by Nick Bicanic. Flikdate is aiming directly at dating app Tinder, offering up both iOS and Android apps which let users "flick" through online video speed dates. Flikdate's executives include Olivier Chaine, a Southern California technology executive who was previously Vice President of Web Operations at LowerMyBills.com. Chaine also was the founder of Magnify360. Bicanic's last venture was EchoEcho, which was venture backed by Google Ventures.
