Glossi Debuts New Features For Digital Magazine Publishers

Glossi, which develops tools to help publishers create digital magazines for the web, said today that it has launched a brand new set of features aimed at rich media content publishers. The startup--headed by Matt Edelman--said it has added such features as contest creation; ways to highlight collections of its digital magazines in Facebook, a blog, or web site; new e-commerce ability from within its magazines; an iPad app; and Google Image search support, among other tools. Glossi is aiming at helping marketers and other publishers to create their own, slick digital magazines using drag and drop tools. Glossi's tools are being used by House Beautiful, Lionsgate's Hunger Games, and the Sony Movie Channel, among others. Glossi was originally started as a project at ThisNext.
