Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Signs Deal With Abu Dhabi

Los Angeles-based future transportation developer Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT), one of two Los Angeles-based developer of Hyperloop systems, has inked a deal with the city of Abu Dhabi and its Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT), to pursue connecting the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The two said they will undertake a feasibility study on connecting the two cities using a Hyperloop system. The system would reach a top speed of 1,200 kilometers per hour, according to Abu Dhabi's DMAT. Both Hyperloop Transporation Technologies and crosstown competitor Hyperloop One have been looking towards the Middle East for deep pocketed investors and customers, willing to fund investments in the futuristic technology technology. Hyperloop One has a similar deal in Dubai.
