Ingram Micro Adds Amazon Prime Fulfillment, Logistics Service

Irvine-based Ingram Micro says it has launched a new service, run by its Ingram Micro Commerce & Fulfillment strategic business unit, which will enable fulfillment of Amazon Prime orders in compliance with Amazon's 1- and 2-day Prime shipping SLAs. According to Ingram Micro, the new service will help its customers maintain a single pool of inventory, and still have access to Amazon Prime. Pricing on the new service were not announced. The highly coveted "Prime Shipping" label on Amazon.com usually requires sellers to store their products with Amazon (and pay both handling and storage fees) to gain access to Prime, unless they meet the "Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime" requirements on their inventory.
