International Rectifier Buys CHiL Semiconductor

El Segundo-based International Rectifier said Friday that it has acquired CHiL Semiconductor Corporation, a supplier of digital power management products, in a deal worth $75M in cash. IR said the buy will expand its technology position in the digital power market. CHiL's mixed-signal power management integrated circuits are primarily targeted at servers, personal computers and other high-volume computing products. CHiL was venture backed by Highland Capital Partners, Flybridge Capital Partners, Panorama Capital, and id SoftCapital.
