Intuit Acquires MyCorporation.com For $20M

Mountain View-based Intuit has agreed to purchase Agoura Hills-based MyCorporation.com, a web site providing online business incorporation, trademark and copyright searches and filings, and other legal filing services. Intuit said it is paying approximately $20M in cash for the business. MyCorporation.com was founded in 1997. Intuit said that the acquisition will enable it to add incorporation services to its online tax preparation and online accounting services. MyCorporation.com is headed by Philip K. Akalp.
