Mission Ventures Raises $210M Fund

San Diego-based Mission Ventures announced today that it has closed Mission Ventures II, a $210M venture fund, as of July 25th. The venture firm invests in early stage information technology and technology-driven service companies in Southern California. The new fund brings the firm's total funds under management to $500M. Mission said that it plans to make approximately 25 investments, ranging from $3M to $10M with the fund. Mission's more successful portfolio companies included Digital Island, Shopzilla, WIDCOMM, and Zyray Wireless.
