Movielink Enhances Download Quality

Santa Monica-based video-on-demand company Movielink announced this morning that it has expanded its offerings of Enhanced Quality movie programming. The broadband download service said that the higher quality movies are encoded at a higher bit rate, and provide superior video and audio quality. According to the company, more than 25% of the rentals during a recent test period were of the enhanced quality, and included titles such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Fifth Element, Ghostbusters, and more. MovieLink is a joint venture of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios and Warner Bros.
