MySpace Rolls Out User Interface Changes

Los Angeles-based MySpace announced today that the firm has launched a number of new user interface changes. According to the social networking wee site, it has changed its home page, navigation, profile editing, search, and its online video player, as part of a year-long redesign effort. MySpace said the new changes will roll out throughout the week. MySpace said it is working with design firm Adaptive Path on some of the user interface changes. Among the changes: new site navigation features; a splash page which will be sponsored by brand advertisers; a better profile editor which does not require HTML coding to develop; a better search interface which uses the Lucerne open source search engine for finding people, music, and other content on the site; and finally, a new rich media player for MySpaceTV.
