NTS Buys Testing Firm

Calabasas-based National Technical Systems, a provider of engineering services, said this morning that it has acquired United States Test Laboratory, LLC, a Wichita, Kansas provider of body armor testing. NTS said it will pay $12.5M in cash for USTL, in addition to earn out of $1.8M in cash. United States Test Laboratory serves the government, military, and law enforcement. National Technical Systems provides engineering, testing services, and other services to the defense, aerospace, communications, high tech, and other markets.
