NetZero Rolls Out Broadband Efforts To Retail Locations

Woodland Hills-based NetZero Wireless, the wireless broadband, which is part of United Online, said this week that it is rolling out a retail effort. NetZero Wireless said it has teamed up with Volante Mobile, a master agent for mobile products and services where NetZero's mobile and home wireless broadband products will be made available in 1,500 wireless retail locations in Texas, California, and Florida. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Previously, NetZero had only offered up its service online or via phone. NetZero said that aside from giving the company another distribution channel, it also allows the company to address a number of customers who prefer to pay with cash for services, in person. NetZero will be offering up its services via prepaid plans, similar to the prepaid wireless plans of cell phone carriers.
