Newport Corporation Closes Ophir Optronics Buy

Irvine-based Newport Corporation announced this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Ophir Optronics, a developer of infrared optics, photonics instruments, and other measurement equipment. The deal was worth $230M, and had originally been announced in July. Ophir Optronics is based in Israel.
