NextVR Powers New Coldplay Virtual Reality Concert

Laguna Beach-based NextVR, which is developing virtual reality capture technology aimed at bringing rock concerts, sporting events, fashion shows, and other events to users via immersive, virtual reality, said it has released its first, content release. NextVR said it has released a virtual reality title with the band Coldplay, entitled Coldplay's Ghost Stories Virtual Reality Concert Experience. The company said it filmed the entire concert in VR. NextVR said the entire concert was filmed on stage, allowing users to view band members as if they were on stage at the concert. NextVR said a clip of the first song, A Sky Full of Stars, will be available via an app on the Samsung Gear VR headset.
