Opposing Views Opens Doors On Information Site

Los Angeles-based Opposing Views, the online information web site headed by former Youbet founder Russell Fine, has officially opened up the firm's web site today, saying that it will allow users to see all sides of issues and topics they are concerned about. The site said it has more than 100 organizations and experts who are providing opinions and debate on issues in health, politics, finance, religion and other societal topics. Content partners for the site include the Sierra Club, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Amnesty International, Lifeway Christian Resources, National Abortion Federation, Lambda Legal and the National Rifle Association (NRA). Opposing Views recently raised $1.25M in a angel funding round. In an interview with socalTECH earlier this month, Fine said that the site is backed by Gil Elbaz, the co-founder of Applied Semantics, which was acquired by Google and became AdSense; Eric Manlunas of Frontera Capital; as well as investors from the Tech Coast Angels, of which Fine is also a member.
