POP Charger Gets Reprieve

The POP Charger, the multi-device, mega charging Kickstarter project which was created by Los Angeles-based Edison Junior, the new consumer electronics startup headed by Jamie Siminoff, has received a reprieve, and might just be built after all. The company said that Apple changed its policy to allow use of its Lightning charger technology after hearing about the plight of the POP, meaning that the charging device might be built after all. Edison Junior had said it would provide a full refund to Kickstarter supports for the device last week, after Apple refused to approve use of its new connectors on the product. Edison Junior said just before Christmas that the project is "back on", and it will not be issuing refunds. Instead, it the company said it is going "full speed ahead" to produce and deliver the product.
