Postcard On The Run Raises $1.8M

Los Angeles-based Postcard On The Run, the developer of mobile apps which let people send their mobile phone photos to people as real, printed postcards, has raised $1.8M in an ongoing funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the company. The filing indicates the company is in the midst of raising $2.3M in a round. Postcard On The Run is the startup headed by former MySpace exec Josh Brooks. No details of the funding have yet been announced by the company. Postcard On The Run's mobile software runs on both the iPhone and Android, and lets users send their photos to friends. The service also helps users gather the postal addresses of their contacts via its Postal Gopher feature. The company says that its real postcards make a real keepstake out of digital photos, which people can post on their fridge, share with friends, or display at work--something that can't be done with a digital photo.
