Private Equity Firms Purchase 101communications

Chatsworth-based trade magazine publisher 101communications has been purchased by two private equity firms, according to reports in Dow Jones LBO Wire and Private Equity Week. The publisher of magazines such as Federal Computer Weekly, Redmond Magazine, and other computer-oriented trade publications was reportedly sold for about $75M to Nautic Partners LLC and Alta Communications. The firm was owned by Frontenac Co.
