Qualcomm Adds Machine Learning SDK To Snapdragon

San Diego-based Qualcomm says that it is adding machine leaning features -- part of the core of developing artificial intelligence software -- to its Snapdraon processors, through a new SDK. According to Qualcomm, it has rolled out a deep learning software development kit (SDK), which will run on its Snapdragon 820 processors, which will allow its users to developing deep learning devices. The SDK, called the Qualcom Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine, is aimed at implementing such things as scene detection, text recognition, object tracking and avoidance, gesturing, face recognition and natural language processing, according to Qualcomm. The company say it is looking to help bolster the development of smart phones, security cameras, automobiles and drones.
