Qualcomm Backs Biometrics Sensor Firm

San Diego-based Qualcomm Ventures, the venture capital arm of Qualcomm, is continuing to back biometric fingerprint sensor maker Validity in its latest funding round. Validity said Tuesday that it has received $12.6M in a Series D round, which included both Qualcomm Ventures, as well as new investor Panorama Capital, and prior investors Crosslink Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and VentureTech Alliance. Qualcomm has been an investor in Validity since before 2006. Validity is based in San Jose. More information »
