Qualcomm In Patent Deal With Yulong

San Diego-based Qualcomm has entered into a Chinese patent licensing agreement with Yulong Computer Telecommunication Scientific (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., covering its 3G and 4G patents, according to the company. Qualcomm said the royalty-bearing patent license covers development, manufacturing, and sales of 3G WCDMA and CDMA2000 and 4G LTE terminals in China. Financial details of the license deal were not announced. Yulong is the 100th customer to sign up under Qualcomm's patent agreement terms reached with China's National Development and Reform Commission. Qualcomm had paid $975M to settle a suit in China last year filed by the NDRC over its patent licensing terms to Chinese companies.
