Qualcomm Targets China With Snapdragon

San Diego-based Qualcomm Technologies said that it has now signed up a total of 40 design wins in China among mobile operators, due to the popularity of LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation support in its Snapdragon chips. Qualcomm said the designs in the pipeline are for premium tier and high volume mobile devices in China, accross all of its Snapdragon processor tiers. Qualcomm did not discuss any financial impact of the large list of wins, but said the devices will be available in coming months from Xiaomi, Motorola, ZTE, OPPO, Tianyu, LeTV, Vivo, Nubia, Smartisan Technology, Coolpad and Hisense.
