RIAA Targets 784 In File Sharing Suits

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has embarked on another round of lawsuits against illegal file sharers. The organization has filed another round of lawsuits against 784 individuals it says have been using illegal peer-to-peer file swapping networks to trade copyrighted music. The RIAA said that it is targeting users of the KaZaa, LimeWire and Grokster peer to peer file swapping services across the country. The RIAA has been aggressively pursuing individual users of file swapping services since 2003, with some success, in an attempt to discourage use of peer to peer file swapping networks.
