RealD Expands Chinese Footprint

Los Angeles-based 3D movie projection technology provider RealD has expanded its footprint in China again, saying Thursday that it has inked a deal with Zhejiang Xingguang Cinema Circuit. RealD said the deal will add its technology in 50 auditoriums in China. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. RealD says it now has approximately 1,100 screens equipped with its technology in China. The company said, including screens which haven't yet been installed, it will have 2,200 screens in China committed to its technology.
