Rubicon Project Taps Barnum As New COO, CFO

Los Angeles-based Rubicon Project, the online advertising optimization technology provider headed by Frank Addante, said this morning that it has named Brian Barnum as its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, as well as appointed Mark Torres as Senior Vice President of People and Culture. Barnum was the COO and CFO at Business.com when it was acquired by Dex One, and also has served at Transaction Network Service and Rent.com. Torres joins from Reed Business Information, and had been previously at Ticketmaster and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Rubicon Project provides an online advertising optimization service, which helps publishers maximize their revenues by strategically determining what ads and ad networks to display in real time. The firm is venture backed by Clearstone Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, IDG Ventures Asia, Comcast Ventures and News Corporation.
